One of the members of the original curriculum committee of the Boston Architectural Center Interior Design Program, Charles Cameron, founded Design Details upon graduation in 1989. Since then we have been creating innovative architectural interiors for a wide variety of residential and commercial projects including stores and restaurants, loft conversions, adaptive re-use, and residential additions. Kitchens, baths, and fine furniture cabinetry have become our major focus in the past many years thanks to our close relationships with high quality manufacturers and seasoned professionals.

Our current headquarters is in a spacious loft studio in the Brickbottom Artists Community in Somerville MA where we can access some of the best artisans, designers, and materials resources in Greater Boston as well as being within easy traveling distance to all of our Eastern New England clientele.

Design Details is focused on working as a team with our customers to accomplish their vision of their ideal space, whether it is refining an already existing concept or working through the whole creative process.

Because we take exceptional pride in our projects, we will spend as much time as necessary to refine the layout and proportions through the use of hand sketches, showroom visits, and 3D perspective renderings. Our standard cabinetry offering also includes comprehensive electrical and plumbing plans and elevations, a suggested lighting plan, door and window placement, and assistance in selecting appliances, countertops, and room finishes. These services are also available on a consulting basis for those who wish to provide their own cabinetry.
